While confined to their houses during the 2020 lockdown, The House found 100 women from remote, regional, metropolitan and urban communities in every Australian state to participate in making 100 Capes that will eventually be worn by 100 girls when mass singing is one day allowed again.
100 Capes is a visual and auditory exploration of the experiences women across Australia share. 100 women’s voices are represented in the interviews and bring to life the extraordinary stories that can be found in the everyday. Audiences navigate their stories, held within red capes and interspersed with music composed by emerging artists.
