POSTPONED – U.P.S x Vans Go Skateboarding Day 2021

VENUE: Meet-up out the back of Central Park Mall. Workshop at Level Up, Level 2 of Central Park Mall, next to Timezone.

This Sunday, 27th June we have something very special planned for Sydney’s Go Skateboarding Day 2021!

With help from our friends at Vans Australia, EA Skate and Central Park Mall we’ve organised a series of events to help grow our community and build relationships within the scene.

We’ve got a free beginner class with Totem Skateboarding in the morning, followed by a queer skate session hosted by our friends from Camp Skateboarding Ubee and Tov, free skate and then a cash grab for tricks to finish up the day!

We’ll be giving away prizes all day from our sponsors Vans, Pass~Port, Sunday Hardware, X-Large Clothing, Sony and more!

All participation is free but we have limited capacity for each event due to COVID restrictions. To register, complete the online waiver form here.

The Program
All skate activities are being held out back of Central Park Mall.

9:30am—11am: under 15’s Beginner class with Totem Skateboarding. Skate equipment provided.
Following the lesson we've organised a decorate your own griptape and t-shirt activity on level 2 inside Central Park at 107 Projects – griptape, tees and art supplies supplied.

11am—1pm: Queer skate meetup with the U.P.S. and Totem team. Skate equipment available to loan on the day.
Following the meet up, a creative expression session at 107 Projects up stairs inside Central Park on level 2. Art supplies and tees supplied.

REGISTER HERE if you identify as LGTBQI+ and want a friendly space to skate some unique and challenging skate obstacles or to ask some experienced skaters “so how do I ollie / jump higher?”.

1pm—2pm: Free skate.

2pm—4pm: Best trick cash grab comp.
The main event, the best trick cash grab! We’ll be handing over cash for tricks, hell, we might be even giveaway a car at the end of the day!
