+ Ears Have Ears Djs

TIM COSTER:
Tim Coster, from Auckland, now currently living in Melbourne, performs textural synthesiser music. Coster’s excellent 2013 release ‘A Moment’s Ornament’ (Room 40) featured a series of sonic vignettes as music experienced in miniature and was followed up by an exclusive soundtrack for Ears Have Ears titled ‘October Tapes’. More recently he has released solo cassettes on the Albert’s Basement & No Kings labels, and is currently working on a series of full-length solo recordings; ongoing collaborative projects include Houseplants, Vogue Forums, Velvet Hour, and Currer Bells.
MARCUS WHALE (and 'digitally prerecorded' TOM SMITH):
Tom Smith and Marcus Whale have been collaborating on recordings and performances since 2009, producing one release as Thomas William vs Scissor Lock on New Weird Australia, Jewelz, in 2012. Marrying two disparate but compatible approaches to dense, sample based improvisatory workouts, their latest release, Localities, sees them newly embracing a wildly percussive palette. At Ears have Ears. Marcus will perform with a digitally prerecorded Tom Smith, who has recently dissolved out of the physical realm.

CHUNYIN:
Chunyin is the alias for Sydney producer/multi instrumentalist Rainbow Chan, which focuses on the darker and dance-oriented side of electronic music. What began as a collection of experimental studies in the summer of 2013, Chunyin has developed into a project with a distinct sound of its own. Exploring non-vocal and production-driven music, Chunyin provides another side to producer's multi-faceted musical background and interests.
