Come and hear stories and conversations by important Redfern personalities at our 'Yarns' sessions. This series of discussions is a way for community to connect to those who have a shared history of - what we think - is the most important suburb of Sydney. Totally informal, but very informative, come along to one of our sessions during the Made in Redfern month-long Festival:

The Secret History of Design in Redfern
6:30pm - 8:30pm, Wednesday 3rd of May.
For a traditionally working-class suburb, design and designers have always had a strong presence in Redfern. What makes this suburb so creative? Who are the people who have made such an impact in this space? Led by local artist Nadeena Dixon, she'll speak with the mum and daughter team behind Collezione Santina Couture; fashion designer daughter Santina, and her mum - who is possibly Australia's oldest migrant dressmaker. More speakers to be announced soon.
