SYNERGY PERCUSSION presents MOTH PEOPLE – Destination People Street – CD LAUNCH

Moth People is a Sydney-based indie band with a lush, symphonic electro-pop sound. Synths, samplers and rock instruments are blended with classical percussion, overlaid with husky, sincere lyrics about city life. Our music is chilled, dreamy and introspective, interspersed with some pretty stern and rocky moments, especially when we perform live. Think Paul Kelly's earnest vocals with Dappled Cities Fly's quirky take on instrumental textures and songwriting, mixed together with experimental sound design.

The lineup brings together a lot of different perspectives: Timothy is the director of Synergy Percussion, a well known percussion soloist and composer of works for contemporary dance (Meryl Tankard, Shawn Parker, Legs on the Wall). Dave is both a fabulous and creative bass player and member of Boy and Bear, but has also been music director for Missy Higgins, Sarah Blasko and The Sleepy Jackson. Evan's drum sound has been the backbone of groups from Faker to the Alchohotlicks. Carl is a wildly creative guitarist and one of the most respected jazz musicians in the country.
