What are the WAO PhotoTalks?
This photo event is for everyone interested in photography.
Meet and connect with local and visiting photographers. Share their stories and ideas. This is a fun way to learn photography.
Sharing ideas is great for collective learning. It's easier to connect to others who share your passion and inspire you to grow as a creative photographer.

Who comes to WAO PhotoTalks?
Professional photographers, amateur photographers, writers, bloggers, travelers, smartphone photographers, editors, teachers, artists, musicians, accountants, lawyers, retirees. Everyone who loves photography and the intrigue of a story.

Every four weeks we invite a photographer to present their work and share their stories. Be inspired and discover something new. Bring a friend, we love company!

April Mountfort’s current art practice addresses environmental crises concerns, works protesting social issues such as vilifying rape victims and homeless persons.

She has a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) Majoring in Sculpture, Performance & Installation (SPI) and Painting as well as a Masters of Law (UTS – Sydney)

April Mountfort will share photos from a trip to Transylvania, and talk about sensitivities and influences photography has had on her development as a fine artist.
