Supper Sessions ~ with Wok boi

Join us at Supper Sessions for a banquet by Wok boi.

Prepare for some spice as Wok boi serves up a Rijsttafel type banquet which translates to 'rice table'. Although not authentically Indonesian, Rijsttafel was introduced by the Dutch colony. It was a style of eating to explore the different selections of Indonesian food. Aldwin will be cooking up some favourites, including nasi uduk, ayam bakar, bakwan jagung and many more. Supper Sessions x Wok boi will warm up more than your stomach as karaoke makes a triumphant return.

Wok boi is a project started by Aldwin in September 2022 to explore his Chinese/Indonesian heritage. He uses food to showcase the rich and abundant flavours of the Indonesian archipelago.

Throughout the year Supper Sessions sets the table for a celebratory feast cooked by a guest chef on the sunny rooftop of 107 Projects in Redfern. All profits are pooled into an independent $1000 grant, awarded to an artist on the night to kick-start a creative project.

Your $95 ticket gets you a multi course meal, flowing drinks, cheeky entertainment and a warm-and-fuzzy feeling that you are supporting artists to make ambitious art happen!
