New Sound Waves

New Sound Waves is a regular meet up for modular synth enthusiasts in Sydney, NSW and surrounding areas.

The focus this time is on AMBIENT and MINIMAL music, plus ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS. Feel free to leave the drum machine behind, and bring along your singing bowls, ukuleles and hang drums. This isn’t a hard and fast rule: if you can make a quiet and moody noise with it, feel free to bring it along.

The meeting will be upstairs, as the downstairs space is being used for a performance. Lift access for those that need it.

Bonus points for sampling delicate things into the modular (and playing along) so bring your Phonogene, Tyme Safari, g0, Octatrack, OP-1 or whatever.

If you’re new to the world of modular synths, or haven’t been to a New Sound Waves meet before, feel free to come along and ask questions, or just hang out. There’ll likely be more modular gear in that room than you’ll have ever seen before.
