Natural Dyeing

Join us for a day exploring the natural essence of colour and of cloth, with natural plant dyes, silk and cotton.

Learn four different dyeing traditions + techniques, experiment and learn, and go home spattered, inspired and ready to make your own explorations through colour with natural dyes.

Along with your teacher; weaver + textile artist Samorn Sanixay, you’ll explore the colourful world of traditional eastern dyeing techniques, with natural materials.

There’s a lot of questions regarding ethics, provenance and sustainable materials when it comes to dyeing + producing cloth – we’re very proud to be working with Samorn, whose practice functions on ethical enterprise, no waste, and completely natural, non-toxic materials.
