MUSIC – SHAPE – COLOUR

MUSIC - SHAPE - COLOUR is an exhibition of visualisations of sound and music.

The artist, Chris Hancock, is a co-founding member of 107. Chris was originally the music director at 107. In line with the multi-art ethos of 107, Chris best understands music and music production as a collage of shapes and colours.

Chris works day and night as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer. When not making records for clients, Chris is making his own records under various aliases or lecturing in audio at SAE. The majority of visualisation are from tracks that Chris has been working on in the last 12 months.

Also exhibited on the night shall be a range of Chris’ DIY sound diffusers; mysterious wooden collages that work as acoustic treatment for studios and spaces in general.

Lastly, Music - Shape - Colour will also feature new music by two of Chris' new sonic aliases, those being TEChSLo (Chris' new Techno alias) and SLEEP ORBIT (Chris' new ambient alias). The exhibition will have available a limited run of t-shirts and USB releases from both of these new musical identities.

Opening Wednesday 27th September | 6–8pm.
