Textile design label Maisie Prints is launching at 107 Redfern on the 16th of July with a small collection of garments and fabrics. Local creative Maisie Cohen is behind this slow fashion initiative that celebrates bold, bright colours, uniqueness and ethical production practices. The collection includes boilersuits, shirts and silk scarves made right in here in Sydney, using Organic Cotton and Peace Silk from an environmentally conscious brand, A&A Eco in India.

There will be a shop and exhibition of works open from 6pm, a live band with projections from sound engineer and 3D visual artist Roly Elias from 6:45, a runway and dance performance from 7:30, with beers provided by local brewery Willie The Boatman.

Collaborators for the event also include lighting designer Chloe Stafford from In Colour Creative, dancer Josh Freedman, and multi-disciplinary artist Alli Sebastian Wolf from Deep Sea Astronauts. The projection work by Roly Elias will take live footage of the band and mix it together with Maisie's print designs, using triggers to creative live visuals that respond to the improvised music.

Art, music, fashion and dance - we have all the bases covered within this one exciting event!
