This body of work presents the current stages of Lachlan Herd’s experimentation with the microbial clouds of a community rave situation. Exploring Donna Haraway’s proposal to invite nonhuman kin into our social groups, this work seeks to assist individuals to include microbes of fungi and bacteria into their view of themselves, their bodies, and their associated communities. Each vitrine has been created through a process of body sampling, cultivation, and integration to form a biological portrait of the microbial cloud that exists at a specific rave site born from the porous bodies that rave there.
