Tanja Bruckner is an established photographer and practicing artist. She moves between the mediums of photography, video and performance to de-construct current cultural representations of identity and the human condition.

The conceptualisation and aesthetic of Bruckners' work is deeply rooted in traditional modes of documentary photography and cinema. However, she uses elements of fiction/fantasy to create a more “fantastic" or “obscure” truth with which to challenge an audience.
