Ken Allars (NED) and Novak Manojlovic present a rare live offering whereby they draw upon 10 years of shared music making to present a one-off performance which suggests a culmination of their artistic cultivation. Marrying synthesizers, tape loops, drum machines and more with their own distinctive and critically lauded voices on trumpet and piano respectively, the duo will debut music which they have developed through online and in-person collaboration.

Ken Allars (NED) and Novak Manojlovic have each developed a reputation as being pre-eminent among the Australian contemporary music scene for their creative breadth, aesthetic individualism and technical prowess. In this rare live offering since Ken's relocation to Holland, they will draw upon 10 years of shared music making to present a one-off performance which suggests a culmination of their artistic cultivation. Marrying synthesizers, tape loops, drum machines and more with their own distinctive and critically lauded voices on trumpet and piano respectively, the duo will debut music which they have developed through online and in-person collaboration; a music which acknowledges their love of each other, their prodigious creative history and their inspiring community.

.ilex

.ilex is the solo hybrid acoustic/electronic project of Sydney drummer and percussionist Holly Conner. Known as a versatile and creative drummer, Conner is just as at home belting the drums in indie rock bands as she is in the worlds of film music, free jazz, and experimental performance art. As .ilex, she has performed solo live sets supporting DJs such as Tzusing, punk/noise group Behind You, and Asteroid Ekosystem, combining heavy rhythmic drumming with dark, industrial production.
