JeSTAR Theatre Holiday Workshop

Venue: Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

4 hours Workshop will include:

• Interactive Drama Activities
• Improvisation Games
• Stage Performance Experience
• Dress-up Fun
• Creative process of Script writing and Directing
• Friendships, Laughter, Awards!

JeSTAR Theatre program is exclusively designed for young people interested in acting, creative arts and self-expressing.

At the Workshop, children will:

• Develop acting skills
• Enjoy the excitement of performing on stage
• Stimulate creativity
• Develop confidence and public speaking skills
• Accept leadership roles and responsibilities
• Build teamwork skills
• Explore the freedom of self-expressing

Workshop will begin at 9:30am and finish at 1:30pm with a short break for morning tea.

Children will be divided into age groups and will have a chance to demonstrate their skills and talents during games and activities. They will participate in the exciting process of creating and staging their plays. At the end of the workshop all groups will perform on stage.

What to bring:

1. Wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes
2. Bring a small morning tea and plenty of water
3. Hat and sun screen

About the JeSTAR Theatre Director:
Anna Maylis has 20+ years of experience as a drama teacher and she is the founder of several Theatre studios in the Eastern Suburbs.
