After many years living and gigging in Paris, annoying the French and drinking far too much jus de chausette, Matt’s back!

The Tasmanian-born pianist Matt Boden teams up with long time collaborator Leigh Barker to lock heads with Sydney greats James Waples and Cam McAllister. They’ll be hurtling through a raft of original works in which the melody is always paramount, coupled with the freedom for each of the players to dismantle anything at anytime. Boden’s influences are all over the place: Art Tatum, Mahler, Ahmad Jamal, Edith Piaf,
Andrew Hill, Pearl Jam, Ethan Iverson etc. So eclectic that it sounds just like your Mum’s iPod playlist.
Anyway, come on down for some heartfelt swinging music played by a bunch of guys you would most likely be able to introduce to your Mum (especially if her playlist is THAT hip)
