Head On at 107 draws together the work of local and international photographers, all working in diverse photographic styles. Comprising 14 distinct photo series, the works have been selected to sit together yet stand apart, representing different approaches, styles and, above all, different ways of seeing. The following photography series explore themes of identity, time, connection to place, cultural tradition and expression and the photography medium itself. Through a lens, the world can look very different.

Head On at 107 presents the work of Christian Sprogoe, Joanna Madloch, John Dobson, Luiza Michalewicz, Rico X., Robin Shaw and Wizard Tang. Accompanied by Jane Fitzgerald, Jiang Lei, Simone Gorman-Clark, Swen Bernitz, Wendy Aldiss, Yvonne Dalschen and Zhanghaibin.

Head On at 107 is presented as part of Head On Photo Festival 2022 - Australia's leading photography festival showcasing Australian and international photography across Sydney, presented by Head On Foundation (not-for-profit est. 2008).

The Festival is a major platform for promoting photography in all its forms through exhibitions, workshops, discussions and our Head On Photo Awards in Portrait, Landscape, and Student categories.

This year, Head On Photo Festival 2022 presents over 100 incredible exhibitions by over 600 contributing photographers, displayed across Sydney and online platforms, paired with an extensive program of live workshops, talks and panel discussions. Visit Head On Photo Festival 2022's major outdoor Festival hubs at Bondi Beach and Paddington Reservoir Gardens to witness stunning visual stories as you've never seen before.
