Blowing and sculpting glass in the flame is a unique life-experience in this hands-on creative workshop for beginners and intermediate level students.
This 1 - 2 day introductory course focused on winter colours and forms will cover many of the basic techniques for working borosilicate glass in the flame. You will use an oxygen-propane torch; to sculpt, join, stretch, blow, encase and mix colours. The focus will be on fun and planning combined with improvisation to produce a variety of objects you can take home such as: small abstract sculptures, vessels, wearable objects, animal and figurative forms, flowers, trees and other branching forms.

Full weekend: $550 / $500 concession
1 day only: $290 / $270 concession

Winter workshop #1: Saturday 30th June – Sunday 1st July
Winter workshop #2: Saturday July 7th – July 8th
Day 2 – 5 is for those who have completed day 1 or have previous experience.
Please arrive by 9.45 am wearing long sleeves and long pants from cotton or other non-flammable type cloth. Full covered shoes must be worn and long hair tied back.
