An exhibition of photography and film from Milk Crate Theatre's 24 years of paradigm-shifting performance works, with three events to get connected with our community and works.

In systems theory, emergence is the production of an outcome that cannot exist without the specific sum of all its parts. Milk Crate Theatre's works and processes are specifically crafted by and for the individuals involved. Over our 24 years, this constantly evolving structure has catalysed in a kaleidoscope of formats, artworks and expression styles, and effected profound transformations.

If you're new to Milk Crate Theatre, come and have a vibrant introduction to our community and evolving body of work. If you are familiar with our work, have been involved in the past or are involved now, come and celebrate the new narratives and visions you have been a vital part of creating.

Events (all welcome but RSVP essential):

Opening night, 5th April 6-8pm

Come together to celebrate the exhibition opening with some music, speeches and a brief introduction to our history and featured works.
This event will be Auslan interpreted.

Afternoon open mic, 8th April 2-4pm

A laid back afternoon of basking in the creativity of the Milk Crate Theatre community. Bring yourself, and if you're feeling generous also bring a song, artwork, or short story or script to share.

Artist talks, 13th April 6-8pm

A q and a with some of our collaborative and facilitating artists, discussing current works as well as dreams for the future.
