Converge #3 – base-metal

Converge is a working group convened by base-metal - an independent Sydney platform for research, critical dialogue, practice and presentation in performance art/live art. It is a gathering place that aims to stimulate conversation, share resources and develop ideas. It is a connection point for artists working in this form within a local, national and international framework. base-metal contributes to a wider conversation and seeks to work in a responsive manner with similarly aligned platforms. It is committed to supporting performance art as a responsive, dynamic and mutable medium. It looks toward broadening the perceptions of performance art, its permutations and its place within the contemporary art environment.
