You're warmly invited to 'Burrajurra Nangamai - Butterfly Dreams Workshop' with artist Nadeena Dixon. Burrajurra Nangamai is a project celebrating the traditional Creation Story of the Dharawal Sydney First Nations people. Nadeena will lead the workshop process by telling the story of how the Butterfly came to be in the creation time. Using recycled materials, Nadeena will provide a frame and weaving materials with examples of the finished Butterfly wings, while facilitating the workshop to support each participant to make their own pair of beautiful butterfly wings. Then our Butterfly people / community will gather to perform a butterfly creation dance to honour the Dharawal creation story. An incredibly rare opportunity that shoud not be missed
