Beyond Myself, Somewhere

TYPE: EXHIBITION

WHEN: 11 Nov 2015 – 15 Nov 2015

COST: FREE

Tetsuya Mori | Sergio Plata | Marie Healy

Tetsuya Mori’s Korean and Japanese heritage informs his work, influenced by Confucianism in the East and multiculturalism in the West. The subjects of his paintings seek to reconcile tradition with change, decorum with war-time brutality, discord in time and culture.

Sergio Plata uses different references in his paintings to express his fear of death. Obsessively he tortures, breaks and disfigures his images as part of his creative process.

Marie Healy reflects on her happy childhood in country NSW. She has restricted her subject matter to her own garden in appreciation of the simple pleasures and diversity of the Australian backyard.

Opening Wednesday 11th November, 6-8pm.

Exhibition continues until Sunday 15th November

Gallery open | Wednesday–Saturday 10am–5pm | Sunday 11am–4pm
