Learn how to create beautiful puppets of paper and card that explore the world of shadow puppetry and perhaps your shadow self.

A group of contemporary performance makers and puppeteers will guide you on a process to borrowed from their upcoming performance The Story Between. Make creatures drawn up from the deep seas of your imagination – or literally from the deep seas using our stencils and examples. All materials provided. Come and enjoy this meditative, relaxing and creative process with the team from The Story Between.

If you enjoy this session, join The Story Between for their workshop and interactive performance on April 26 & 27.

About Art Somewhere

Art Somewhere is a space to create, make friends and hang out!

Art Somewhere is a facilitated creative hangout for the community. It is a safe place for people new to creative practices to experiment and learn in a non-structured teaching environment. There will be two facilitators present at every hangout, a qualified art teacher and a guest artist.

Participants can arrive with a creative intention or choose to be guided by their facilitators. The facilitators will spend time with every participant encouraging their abilities and inspiring their practice.

What happens?

Turn up any time after 6pm and stay for as long as you like. Our facilitators will share some creative activities with you or alternatively you can work on a project and just ask for help as and when you need.

The bar at 107 will be open and you can check out the exhibition. Feel free to bring some dinner in with you from our amazing neighbours too!
