Bower Reuse & Repair Centres invite you to celebrate art and sustainability at ART from TRASH.

Bower Reuse & Repair Centres invite you to celebrate art and sustainability at ART from TRASH. With more than 70 entries from over than 30 artists, ART from TRASH presents a vast, inspired and surprising array of works ranging from paintings to sculpture to weavings to assemblage – all created from reused materials.

Promoting sustainability and reuse is exactly what ART from TRASH is about. “We want our artists to think about reusing materials when they create art,” says The Bower's General Manager, Guido Verbist. “Approaching art with reuse in mind prevents materials from being sent to landfill and that is something we want to encourage.”

“We also want artists to visit The Bower – or any Reuse Centre – when they’re conceptualising new artistic projects. Inspiration is often found by looking to the past.”
