The Spheres (Melb)

The Spheres are an experimental AV ensemble from Melbourne.

Comprised of filmmakers, animators and multi-instrumentalists,
they soundtrack the light thrown from projectors with a
distinctive brand of cadence, noise and melody.

Drawing upon the disparate tropes of sound art, silent cinema and the ghosts of post rock, the collective's concurrent themes of creative preoccupation
include the melancholy of memory, capitalism and the sea.

Joining them as part of this very special performance will be experimental trio Haunts and electronic sound artist
Scissor Lock.

Members of The Spheres' touring troupe R. Electrique and Seth Rees will also perform short sets as part of a bill brimming with experimental sonic offerings and one not to be missed !
