The Renaissance Project

The Renaissance Project is the culmination of a year’s work by Andrew Grant. Through figure paintings and abstract landscapes the artist has explored themes such as the loss of identity that often accompanies the onset of a disability.

The Renaissance period was seen as a cultural bridge between the middle ages and the modern era, a time of innovation and rebirth. Today the arts provide people with a disability the same opportunity to bridge the cultural divides and find a new voice.

Sponsored by Accessible Arts - The Renaissance Project aims to promote an artist with a disability and demonstrate the benefits or participating in the arts for people of all abilities.

This exhibition is part of Art Month Sydney 2017.
