Contemporary Contemporary Contemporary

Back in the olden days of 2003, the (then) young women of POST embarked on an ambitious project at PACT Centre for Contemporary Art – to stage the most CONTEMPORARY moment in Sydney’s history, EVAH! It was called, Contemporary, Contemporary, Contemporary.

Looking back at that moment, to what we’re standing in now, POST have invited a host of artists to create two distinctly different nights of performance. They invite you, the audience, to choose between THE PAST (Friday night) and THE PRESENT (Saturday night), or perhaps both. It will be the present re-imagined through the past. It will be a re-enactment of the present moment before your very eyes (it will be as if you were there).

Joining POST are Bron Batten, Rich Higgins, Nat Randall, Matt Prest & James Brown, Martin del Amo, Christie Woodhouse & Claire Stjepanovic, Re-Group and Mal and Kev. The Posties invite artists to deal with the past of Sydney, the past of art and the history of art makers as a way of dealing with the present.*
