Era Kin is the solo project of Kieran Hernage, a 22-year-old producer from Sydney's northwest. With an eclectic range of influences and a unique production style, Era Kin has developed a sound that's distinctly their own. Each song is a study in unpredictability; protean sample choices and severe dynamic shifts are tied together with an unrelenting, forward-moving rhythm. Hernage sees Era Kin as an idealized version of himself; an alter ego unaffected by anxiety or emotional fragility. This disparity between two distinct selves makes each live set an exercise in performance arts, both musically and physically.
