(**NEW DATE**) Celebrate fEMPOWER’s first birthday!

fEMPOWER was born a year ago in a meeting of the Sydney Uni Women’s Collective. Bemoaning the lack of feminist content in our high school educations, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Since then, we have visited many public schools in the Sydney region, reaching over 700 students to discuss feminism and gender equality. Our workshops include content ranging from stereotypes and representation in the media, to masculinity and domestic violence. We are entirely not-for-profit, and run on the hard work of our enthusiastic volunteers and generous donations. We are throwing a first birthday party to celebrate everything we have achieved in the past year, and to raise money to keep delivering our workshops in more schools in our second year! Join us at 107 Projects for a night of entertainment and celebration. We will have live music and comedy performances from women in the local community, as well as keynote speeches from representatives of social justice organisations.
