Emma Maye Gibson is a Warrane/Sydney based performance artist whose work plays with the body as a site for catharsis, compost and critter-dom. This workshop will invite you to come into your senses and creativity with a focus on embodiment. The space will act as a container for your vesseling, uncovering, becoming and unbecoming as we share modes for generating, playing, feeling, listening and communicating. All while maintaining a focus for coming into presence. Seeing and being seen.

Gibson has tended to spiritual access point and performance art endurance being, Betty Grumble for over a decade. They will share with you knowledge and energies that they have inherited and been gifted by local and international mentors, peers and guides. Together the group will make a space for expansive meaning making and performance rigour.

Wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in, bring a notebook for documenting and enjoy the ride. We encourage radical tenderness and consent work when approaching this time together. We invite you to take care of your bodies and stories as they respond, coalesce and breathe with the groups. We acknowledge that we will be working on Aboriginal Land. Land that is full of culture, community and story. We arrive together in deep respect for country and all of our shared and diverse histories.

The intention of this workshop is to come into presence, senses and creative spirit via performance making methodologies and have a gooey, groovy time.

There are several Free spots available to First Nations, Trans & NonBinary Folk. Please send a message to apply for a spot. Info@bettygrumble.com.

The workshop is capped at 20 bodies.

The workshop is supported via in kind support from 107. If you have any questions regarding access needs and support, please send me a message.

The space is wheelchair accessible via a lift, with accessible toilets.

Thank You Body.
