“At its heart, March Dance is about providing a platform for independent dance in Sydney, elevating self-produced, independent work and creating a context in which ideas and practices can be shared and presented in dialogue with other work. As such, it's exciting to have such a mix of performances, residencies, talks and workshops, offering artists and audiences an opportunity to engage with a range of contemporary dance artists and practices at various stages of the making process”. -Festival Manager, Matt Prest

The festival will kick off with a free launch event including drinks and short performances, sponsored by Young Henry’s.

Supported by the City of Sydney, from March 1-31, over 100 artists will take part in the festival, including 11 companies, 10 organisations and 27 venues across Sydney. The program includes 16 residencies, 18 performances, 5 workshops, 23 dance classes, 1 sharing and 4 talks.

We are thrilled to have the support of Young Henrys!

Young Henrys is a group of passionate brewers, beer lovers, distillers, musicians and artists, united for the love of good beer. Established in 2012 in the back streets of Newtown and in the hearts of lovers of music and art culture all over; supporting grassroots community through to major festivals and cultural institutions.
