------------ jetrio ------------
jetrio are a neo-instrumental group whose compositions evoke and juxtapose folkloric melodies with minimalism, punctuated with flourishes of driving rhythmic vigour. The band features Alexander Inman-Hislop [BIKE THIEF, Zela Margossian Quintet], Blain Cunneen [Julia Jacklin] and Sean Valenzuela [Little Archer; Nativosoul].

-------- Vermillion Trio -------
Vermillion Trio are an all women improvisation group walking the boundaries of classical arts music and gritty, underground electronic sounds. Playing across a wide range of venues in Sydney, the trio have built a cult-like following for their progressive experimentation, and have supported multiple acclaimed Australian artists.

--------Jacques Emery -----------
Jacques Emery is a double bassist, composer and performer who works on Cammeraygal and Cadigal land.
Born in 1997 to orchestral string players, Jacques cultivated a deep curiosity in all kinds of sound and music from a young age.
He has toured Europe with the Australian Art Orchestra and plays regularly around Sydney with many groups including Zela Margossian Quintet and HEKKA. In 2020 he was a finalist of the Freedman Jazz Fellowship.
This performance will feature his unique solo double bass set, where he treats the instrument like an ensemble of percussion instruments.
