‘Known Rivers’ is a photography exhibition exploring the diversity within the black community in Sydney. It sets out to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of what it means to be black in urban Australia in 2018. This exhibition features portraits of Sydneysiders identifying as black from many different backgrounds. Viewers will also be able to listen to audio interviews taken from each subject.
On the opening night, come expecting great food, thought-provoking conversation and a couple surprise performances.
Opening Wednesday 17th October | 6-8pm.
Continues until Sunday 28th October.
Gallery open Tuesday–Sunday 11am–5pm.
About the Artist
Nate Palmer is a documentary photographer and filmmaker from Washington, DC, who is currently based in Sydney.
