Audiocraft Presents: Ladies Who Listen

TYPE: TALK

SPACE: CONFERENCE ROOM

WHEN: 7pm – 19 Oct 2017

COST: $20

TICKETS: TryBooking

To celebrate their mentoring program, Ladies Who Listen, Audiocraft is hosting a very special evening for women.

We’ll be working through practical solutions to some of your most prescient business and life conundrums, giving out high-fives to women making waves in audio, and finishing off with a couple of drinks on 107’s rooftop garden.

Some of the things we’ll be talking about are dealing with burnout, (re)defining success, getting paid, imposter syndrome, pivoting your career, breaking ceilings, mentoring + more.

To help give us some of that much-needed insight and perspective, we’ll be joined on the night by some very hard working, wise ladies:

Panelists

Giordana Caputo: an experienced broadcaster, producer, journalist and trainer, Giordana is currently the CEO of the Community Media Training Organisation and EP of the National Features and Documentary Series.

Jane Connors: after making her first broadcast on community radio in 1979, Jane has since worked in many roles at the ABC, including Manager of Radio National. She is now the Editorial Advisor for ABC Radio.

Santilla Chingaipe: an award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker. She’s travelled Africa reporting for SBS World News, writes regularly for The Saturday Paper, and is currently directing two documentaries.

Moderator

Jess O'Callaghan: as well as recently stepping into the Audiocraft Program Manager role, Jess is a producer for ABC RN. She’s the founding producer of The Party Room and currently the series producer of Background Briefing.

Music provided by Caitlin Medcalf:
Caitlin is presenter of FBi Radio's Pretty Broad, a program showcasing femme identifying artists and figures involved in the Australian electronic music industry.

NOTE: While Audiocraft is a community for radiomakers and podcasters, we’ll be discussing things that apply to most working women. So if you identify as female and have a job, this night’s for you.
