Come down and have a yarn on Mabo Day as we launch a Sydney based project called Sixty Thousand with a night of Koori film, music, poetry and storytelling in Redfern.

YARN is launching a new arts/culture/digital project called 'Sixty Thousand' bringing together Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and Non-indigenous performers, storytellers, film and dancers for a night of listening, learning and celebration.
Event supported by the NSW Reconciliation Council

Since 2007 YARN has been running programs across Australia aimed at creating conversation and relationships through the power of Australia's historical stories.
Youth Awareness Resource Network

In January 2015, 'Sixty Thousand' launched as new arts, events and culture initiative designed to connect with artists and share culture and with the broader Australian community via events and social media platforms.

Welcome To Country by Uncle Chicka Madden will take place at 6pm followed by an opening ceremony.
*Performers and Program will be announced in the week of the event.
