| James Harney |

Undercurrent is an exhibition of painting, sculpture and installation. This diverse selection of Harney’s creative practice is coloured by his experiences from travel to Japan, Korea and China, social commentary and reactions to daily living in Sydney.

The works span from expressive story based narratives to replication and simulation of signage and into non-objective hard edge aesthetics.

This body of works represents a departure back into painting and a freer form of his art practice.

In recent years Harney has been developing his conceptual practice looking into Japanese woodworking. Through the support of an Australia Council for the Arts, Skills and Arts Development grant and firstdraft gallery, his finding will be on display at firstdraft gallery in September this year.

Please do join James and us lovely folks @107projects to celebrate.
