Short Film Hackathon

TYPE: WORKSHOP

TICKETS: Eventbrite

VENUE: Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

In this 2-day short film hackathon, you’ll learn all the fundamentals of storytelling through film, from a range of creative filmmaking mentors.

From concept development to storyboarding, to filming techniques, sound and editing, you’ll work in small teams to create short films that focus on stories in the local area around Green Square. At the end of the workshop, you'll have a short film that you've created, along with the knowledge and confidence to keep telling stories using your mobile phone.

Your tickets will include an information session, 7–8:30 pm on Friday 19th Feb, to meet the mentors, start developing your ideas and chat with your fellow budding filmmakers.

Feb 19th | Intro Evening 7–8:30 pm
Feb 20th & 21st | Hackathon 10 am–5 pm

What to bring: your smartphone (preferably one with a headphone jack or a converter). If you don't have a phone available to you, please let us know in advance so we can arrange alternatives.
