Liquid Light at Cockle Bay Wharf

This year we’re bringing you one step closer to the Vivid experience. At Cockle Bay Wharf you can help create an illuminated light display that is inspired by one of the most mysterious sea creatures, the jellyfish.

During a hands-on creative experience, you’ll discover what happens when art, science, nature and technology collide. Hint: it’s going to be an explosion of colour and activity!

How does it work?

We’ll invite you into our Town Square ocean wonderland complete with inflatable seaweed beds. Here you’ll meet our mad scientists who’ll help you create your own Vivid Liquid Light artwork. Our scientists will show you how to make your own colourful liquid gel and together you'll project your creation onto a giant jellyfish suspended high above you.

Fun for the whole family, Liquid Light at Cockle Bay Wharf will ignite your imagination. After you’ve created your work of art enjoy a meal at one of our fantastic restaurants and watch the ever-changing live Liquid Light display.

There will be three stations available for the public to take part including an accessible friendly station at the wheelchair friendly Town Square at Cockle Bay Wharf.

Visit Cockle Bay Wharf on Friday and Saturday nights during Vivid 2018 and you'll enjoy front-row seats to the Darling Harbour Vivid fireworks as they light up the Sydney night sky.
