Our incredible Joynton resident The Bench is running a workshop where you can learn all about the history and process of Semainier Rings. The semainier (or “weekly” in French) ring evokes the sense of time passing through seven ‘textured’ or ‘chiseled’ rings, grouped by a flat ring. In the workshop, you will be guided by the wonderful Erin Keys to learn the basic skills needed to create these rings in sterling silver.
All the tools, materials and consumables you need for the course will be available at the venue; including an apron. You may want to buy further materials from The Bench's metal suppliers – your tutor will provide you with supplier information.
