From experimentation with the ceramic form and improvised sound emerges an unconscious depiction of an environment that is strangely familiar yet inherently imaginary. The rhythmic and melodic soundtrack resonates deep from within ceramic vessels that resemble underwater creatures (nudibranch, and Open brain coral) and are placed in front of collaged painted backgrounds that unify a natural world under the conditions of the unnatural. The interrelationship between the visible, the audible and the imaginary serves to portray the cycle of life and the spaces between what is familiar and what is foreign. The inherent strangeness of our own physicality and nature evokes a strange feeling that could only be described as fishy.

Opening Wednesday 22th April, 6-8pm
Exhibition continues until Sunday 3rd May
