The night will feature Baran's most recent compositions as well songs from his album Interbeing. Baran will be accompanied by exquisite local musicians: Emanuel Lieberfreund on winds, John Wynne on double bass, Mishae Bailitis on charango and Nic Scali on guitar. Visual artist Jacqueline Wechsler will be depicting unique nature landscapes to deepen the musical journey.

About the Artists:

Baran is a Sydney based multi-instrumentalist from Turkey. His music combines melodies and rhythms of the Middle East and Africa with a modern touch on the hand pan, piano and various percussion instruments. Originally trained in classical piano and jazz drums he gradually became a world music percussionist and composer. Since 2010 he has performed at international festivals around the world, accompanying globally acknowledged musicians on percussion. His first album ‘Interbeing’, released in September 2019, blends various modern world and neo-classical music elements and presents enchanting instrumental soundscapes.
