A night like no other brought to you by Sydney NOW. A collection of short films by legendary female directors Shirley Clarke, and Marie Menken, as well as films from groundbreaking director D.A. Pennebaker's (Bob Dylan's "Don't Look Back", "Monterey Pop) time in New York.

There will be a set of live, improvised music inspired by the instrumental works of NYC based composer Arthur Russell. Composed by Seán van Doornum and performed by a 10 piece ensemble consisting of some of Sydney's finest musicians. Lastly we will be showing the feature length doco "Notes on Marie Menken", written and directed by Martina Kudlácek with music composed by John Zorn.

Films curated by James Tsai of Radio Free Alice in Darlinghurst. Radio Free Alice is any legitimate culture junkie's Shangri-La right here in Sydney! Music composed and arranged by Seán van Doornum. A graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Seán has composed, arranged and produced for various ensembles, bands, artists, theatre and film both in Australia and overseas, predominatly in New York City and Los Angeles.
